TTNBC Report,
As Thanksgiving approaches, various weather systems are affecting travel across the United States, with key regions experiencing delays and disruptions.
Northeast:
Newark Airport saw delays of up to an hour on Monday, though conditions remain manageable. The main concern is for later in the week, as New York City, Boston, Philadelphia, and Washington could face significant weather impacts.
West:
Rain and snow have hit the West Coast, with Seattle to San Francisco experiencing wet conditions. Temperatures are cool, creating ideal conditions for both rain and snow. The Colorado area is expected to receive 12 to 20 inches of snow from Tuesday to Thursday, while Southern California should avoid significant weather.
Midwest:
Chicago, Minneapolis, and Columbus received a light dusting of snow, and while no major snowstorms are expected, these regions may see enough snow to create a festive atmosphere for the holiday season. Detroit, Toledo, and Cincinnati are expected to remain unaffected.
Ohio River Valley:
Pittsburgh and Cleveland are on alert as weather conditions could cause minor disruptions in travel plans.
Southeast:
Florida’s dry season continues, with cool temperatures in the 50s and 60s for the first part of the week, followed by warmer conditions as temperatures rise back into the 80s.
New England:
Snow is forecasted for parts of New York, Vermont, Connecticut, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire later in the week, making it a region to watch closely as Thanksgiving approaches.
