The tallest and shortest women in the world met for an afternoon tea in London to mark Guinness World Records Day.

Rumeysa Gelgi, 7 feet tall, and Jyoti Amge, 2 feet tall, gathered at the Savoy Hotel, bridging a height gap of 5 feet. Despite their differences, they bonded over shared interests like makeup, jewelry, and self-care.

Gelgi, a Turkish web designer, holds multiple records, including the longest hands and back for a living woman. Her height is due to Weaver syndrome, a rare genetic condition.

Amge, an Indian actress with achondroplasia, is renowned for her role in American Horror Story: Freak Show. She is also the shortest actress in history.

Guinness World Records’ editor called the meeting a celebration of diversity, emphasizing their inspiring stories. Both women are featured as GWR ICONS in the 2025 edition.
