Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has greenlit the construction of 5,000 classrooms under the Public School Reorganization Program. In a meeting held in Lahore, she emphasized enhancing government schools to match private institutions, including setting up modern labs to boost learning.
The CM also approved initiatives such as the Green School Programme, promoting tree plantation by students, and mapping school needs across Punjab. Plans for regularizing 14,000 education officers and launching a nutrition program in selected districts were also discussed. Additionally, 603 non-functional schools will be restored across the province.
