Petrol, Diesel Prices Set to Rise in Pakistan from March 1

Pakistan Home Latest

Petroleum prices in Pakistan are expected to increase from March 1, 2026, following a surge in global oil rates, according to official sources.

The price of petrol is likely to rise by Rs4.58 per litre, while high-speed diesel (HSD) may increase by Rs4.73 per litre. Meanwhile, kerosene prices are expected to go up by Rs6.88 per litre, and light diesel oil may see a hike of Rs5 per litre.

Earlier, during the fortnightly price review on February 15, the federal government raised petrol prices by Rs5 per litre and diesel by Rs7.32 per litre. After the adjustment, petrol currently costs Rs258.17 per litre, while diesel stands at Rs275.7 per litre.

In the international market, crude oil prices jumped nearly 3% amid geopolitical tensions and uncertainty surrounding US-Iran nuclear negotiations. Brent crude surged to $72.84 per barrel, while US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) climbed to $67.54 per barrel.

Market analysts say rising geopolitical risks and supply concerns are pushing global oil prices higher, which is directly impacting fuel costs in Pakistan.
