The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has revealed the full schedule for the Bahria Town Champions T20 Cup 2024, which will take place at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium from December 7 to 25. This marks the second edition of the Champions Cup series, following the success of the 50-over tournament held in Faisalabad earlier this year.
Five teams—ABL Stallions, Engro Dolphins, Lake City Panthers, Nurpur Lions, and UMT Markhors—will compete for the coveted title. The tournament will feature 22 matches spread over 19 days, with a mix of six double-header days and eight single-header games. Double-headers are scheduled to start at 11:00 AM and 3:30 PM, while single matches will kick off at noon.
The PCB has introduced a new format to heighten the competition. After a double-league stage, the top-ranked team will automatically qualify for the final, while the second and third-placed teams will face off in a Qualifier on December 23. The final will be held on December 25 at 3:30 PM.
Each team is guaranteed at least eight matches, offering ample opportunity to fine-tune their strategies. To accommodate this tournament, the PCB has rescheduled the final round of the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy, with matches between Lahore Whites and Sialkot taking place from December 27 to 31, and the final scheduled for January 2-6.
In preparation, teams will gather in Rawalpindi starting November 28 for practice sessions at Diamond Cricket Ground, KRL Stadium, and National Ground, with warm-up matches set to take place before the official tournament begins.
