Pakistan’s armed forces launched a massive and decisive military operation titled Operation Ghazab Lil Haq after unprovoked aggression by Afghan Taliban forces along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border. Security sources confirmed that precision airstrikes and ground assaults inflicted heavy casualties on Taliban positions across multiple Afghan provinces, including Kabul, Kandahar, Paktia, and Nangarhar.
According to official sources, the Pakistan Air Force conducted targeted airstrikes on key militant installations, destroying two brigade headquarters in Kabul, a major corps headquarters in Kandahar, and a Taliban corps base in Paktia. Multiple ammunition depots, logistics bases, battalion headquarters, and sector command centers were also neutralized.
Taliban Suffer Massive Casualties
Government spokesperson Mosharraf Zaidi confirmed that 133 Taliban fighters were killed, while over 200 were seriously wounded during the strikes. Additionally, 27 Taliban posts were completely destroyed, and nine others were captured by Pakistani forces.
Security officials said that more than 80 armored vehicles, tanks, and artillery guns were destroyed, crippling Taliban operational capacity across the border region.
Pakistan Army Secures Border Positions
Along the Torkham, Kurram, Mohmand, Bajaur, Chitral, and South Waziristan sectors, Pakistani troops launched coordinated artillery, drone, and ground assaults. Several Taliban check posts were dismantled, and multiple infiltration attempts were foiled.
In South Waziristan’s Shawal sector, Pakistani forces captured a Taliban post, while in Angur Adda, counter-terror operations dismantled Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan hideouts. At Kharlachi Terminal, forward Taliban positions were completely flattened.
Drone Attacks Thwarted
Taliban attempts to target Pakistani check posts using quadcopter drones were neutralized immediately. Military officials confirmed all hostile drones were shot down, preventing casualties and infrastructure damage.
Taliban Retreat in Panic
Security sources reported that Taliban fighters abandoned several forward bases and fled in panic, loading their equipment onto trucks and retreating deeper into Afghan territory. Several white flags were reportedly raised in surrender at border outposts.
Martyrdom and Injuries
During the intense clashes, two Pakistani soldiers embraced martyrdom, while three others sustained injuries while defending national borders. Authorities honored their sacrifice and reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to national defense.
Civilian Areas Targeted
In Bajaur, Taliban shelling damaged a mosque, injuring civilians and causing structural destruction. The Ministry of Interior strongly condemned these actions, calling them cowardly attacks on innocent populations.
Government & Military Response
Defence Minister Khawaja Asif stated that Pakistan is delivering a crushing and decisive response, adding that victory is inevitable, Insha’Allah. Information Minister Attaullah Tarar emphasized that Pakistan will not tolerate border aggression, warning the Taliban against further escalation.
Interior Ministry officials reiterated that any hostile act will receive a firm and immediate reply, ensuring territorial integrity and civilian safety.
Security Remains High
Security forces continue round-the-clock surveillance, air patrols, and operational readiness across the western border. Authorities urged citizens to remain calm and trust the armed forces, stating that Pakistan remains fully capable of defending itself.
