With the start of snowfall in Murree Hills, the City Traffic Police have issued a travel advisory urging visitors to adopt safety precautions during their trips.
Chief Traffic Officer Mughees Ahmad Hashmi assured that traffic authorities are fully prepared to assist tourists and ensure smooth travel. In the advisory, visitors were instructed to:
- Ensure Full Fuel Tanks: Vehicles should be fully fueled before heading to Murree.
- Use Chains on Tyres: Chains are recommended for added grip in slippery conditions.
- Opt for Four-Wheel Drives: Four-wheel and mechanically fit vehicles are preferable for safe travel.
- Follow Traffic Rules: Avoid parking in restricted areas to ensure smooth traffic flow.
Hashmi emphasized the importance of cooperation from tourists to make their visit safe and enjoyable. “We need the cooperation of visitors to ensure their trip remains safe and secure,” he added.
As Murree transforms into a winter wonderland, travelers are reminded to stay cautious and follow the guidelines to enjoy the beauty of the hills safely.
