A harrowing video has emerged showing the final moments aboard the Azerbaijan plane that crashed near Kazakhstan’s airport.
The footage, recorded by a survivor of the crash, has gone viral on social media. It captures a passenger remaining calm and reciting “Allah Akbar” and the Shahada (Islamic declaration of faith) aloud, even after realizing the aircraft was no longer under the pilot’s control.
The passenger’s unwavering faith and trust in life after death have left social media users deeply moved.
The crash occurred near Kazakhstan’s airport, where the Azerbaijan passenger plane tragically went down, killing 39 and injuring 28. A total of 67 individuals, including the crew, were onboard. They hailed from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Russia.
The plane was en route from Baku to Grozny, Chechnya. Preliminary investigations suggest the crash happened during an emergency landing, reportedly caused by a bird strike.
