Israeli Strikes Kill 40 in Eastern Lebanon as Gaza Faces Starvation Crisis

Gaza Alert

Beirut, Lebanon — Israeli airstrikes on eastern Lebanon have claimed the lives of at least 40 people, many of them civilians, in the latest escalation of violence along the Lebanon-Israel border. The strikes, which targeted Hezbollah positions, have also caused widespread destruction in nearby villages, leaving residents in a state of panic. The deadly raids follow weeks of heavy bombardment in the region, as Israeli forces intensify operations against Hezbollah militants in response to border clashes.

Meanwhile, the humanitarian crisis in Gaza deepens. Reports from the besieged Palestinian enclave reveal a rapidly worsening situation as food and medical supplies run out. The United Nations and humanitarian organizations have raised alarms over the rapidly declining conditions, with civilians suffering from starvation, lack of clean water, and inadequate medical care. Hospitals, already overwhelmed by casualties from weeks of airstrikes, are now unable to treat the growing number of injured, further intensifying the toll on Gaza’s population.

The international community has expressed growing concern over the dual crises. Calls for an immediate ceasefire and increased humanitarian aid to Gaza have intensified, but efforts to deliver essential supplies have been hindered by ongoing blockades and violence in the region.

With both Lebanon and Gaza enduring the devastating effects of military strikes, the region stands on the brink of further instability, as global leaders urge de-escalation and a renewed commitment to peace.
