Hospital Records Reveal Medical Details of Lahore Student Allegedly Raped

Pakistan

LAHORE: Medical records of the Lahore student allegedly raped have emerged, shedding light on her treatment timeline, ARY News reported. The records show the student was taken to General Hospital on October 2, where a CT scan revealed no major injuries. On October 3, she consulted a neurosurgery specialist at a private clinic, and by October 4, she was admitted to a private hospital in Model Town, complaining of neck pain. An MRI scan later diagnosed the pain as being caused by a nerve injury from a fall. She remained hospitalized for eight days.

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has since formed a seven-member committee to investigate misinformation regarding the alleged rape case circulating on social media. Authorities are taking action against those spreading false information, which has caused public unrest. Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz also formed a separate high-level committee to investigate the incident.

In a surprising development, the girl’s father denied the rape allegations, clarifying that his daughter’s injuries were due to a fall at home. He expressed concern that protests were being held in his daughter’s name for an event that did not occur.
