LIVE: Hamas and Israel Clash Over Ceasefire Agreement as Gaza Death Toll Rises

Latest

Hamas and Israel continue to clash over the terms of a potential ceasefire deal, with Hamas claiming it has approved a list of 34 captives presented by Israeli authorities for release as part of the first phase of the agreement. However, Israel has denied this assertion, further intensifying the tensions between the two sides.

As Hamas and Israel remain locked in disagreement, Israeli forces continue their bombardment of Gaza, killing at least 13 Palestinians overnight and 31 in the past 24 hours. The ongoing conflict has exacerbated the humanitarian crisis, with Hamas and Israel‘s actions contributing to the dire situation on the ground.

Amid the escalating violence, an eighth Palestinian baby has died from hypothermia in Gaza, where families are enduring a harsh winter due to Israel‘s continued restrictions on humanitarian aid, including the delivery of blankets and tents. The suffering in Gaza persists as Hamas and Israel fail to reach an agreement on a ceasefire.

Since October 7, 2023, Israel‘s actions in Gaza have resulted in at least 45,805 Palestinian deaths and 109,064 injuries. In contrast, Hamas-led attacks on that day killed at least 1,139 people in Israel, with more than 200 taken captive. The conflict continues to cause devastating losses on both sides.
