ISLAMABAD – The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has launched its upgraded tax payment system, ‘ePayment 2.0,’ aimed at simplifying tax payments across Pakistan. This new platform aligns with the government’s vision of modernizing the country’s tax infrastructure.

According to FBR, the ePayment 2.0 system offers a secure, user-friendly experience for online tax payments. Taxpayers can now pay directly from their bank accounts using internet banking, ATMs, and mobile banking, eliminating the need for physical visits to the bank.

The system supports various taxes, including Income Tax, Sales Tax, Federal Excise Duty, and Withholding Taxes, and integrates with IRIS 2.0 for seamless use. With a unique Payment Slip ID (PSID), both registered and unregistered taxpayers can quickly process payments. After completing payments, taxpayers will receive a Computerised Payment Receipt (CPR) via email and SMS for future reference.

The new system enhances transparency, reduces errors, and streamlines tax compliance, contributing to FBR’s goal of a more efficient and business-friendly tax environment. The ePayment 2.0 system was officially launched by FBR Director General IT&DT, Ms. Aisha Farooq, at PRAL Headquarters in Islamabad.
