Arnold Schwarzenegger is bringing Christmas cheer in a way only he can—by stepping into the boots of Santa Claus! The action icon was spotted in New York City, rocking a snowy white beard and a festive red suit for his upcoming holiday film, The Man with the Bag.
“Santa Claus is coming to town!” Schwarzenegger wrote on social media, sharing a sneak peek of his transformation into the beloved Christmas figure. He expressed excitement about working alongside co-star Alan Ritchson, director Adam Shankman, and Amazon MGM Studios, promising audiences a holiday adventure filled with joy and laughter.
The film follows a whimsical storyline: when Santa’s magical bag of gifts is stolen, he recruits a thief from his naughty list, Vance, to help retrieve it. Joined by Santa’s daughter and a quirky team of misfits, Vance embarks on a high-stakes heist to save Christmas.
Director Adam Shankman, known for hits like Hairspray and The Wedding Planner, is at the helm of this festive adventure. Alan Ritchson, celebrated for his role as Jack Reacher in Prime Video’s Reacher, co-stars as one of the central characters in the story.
Schwarzenegger is no stranger to Christmas films, having starred in the 1996 comedy Jingle All the Way. In that movie, he played a father scrambling to find the perfect gift for his son—a Turbo Man action figure—while hilariously competing with another dad, played by Sinbad. Jingle All the Way has since become a holiday cult classic, joining the seasonal rotation of Christmas comedies.
As fans eagerly await more details, The Man with the Bag is poised to deliver heartwarming laughs and holiday magic. A release date is yet to be announced, but Schwarzenegger’s Santa transformation is already making waves.
