Punjab police have finalized an extensive security plan to ensure safety during Christmas and Quaid-e-Azam Day celebrations on December 25. According to a police spokesperson, over 30,000 officers will be deployed across the province to maintain order and protect citizens.
In Lahore alone, more than 5,000 officers will be stationed at churches to safeguard worshippers during the festive season. Additionally, over 1,000 officers will manage security for events commemorating the birth anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
The security plan includes heightened vigilance at sensitive locations. IG Punjab emphasized the need for extra forces at key sites and urged officers to stay alert to counter any suspicious activities. Liaison with church administrations has also been prioritized to ensure smooth security arrangements.
Religious leaders from all sects are encouraged to promote interfaith harmony during this period to foster a peaceful and unified celebration. The day marks not only the birth of Pakistan’s founder but also an important occasion for the Christian community.
December 25 is a national holiday, celebrated as Quaid-e-Azam Day and Christmas. Ceremonies and events across Pakistan pay tribute to Jinnah’s vision and leadership, honoring his role in shaping the nation.
