Banks across Pakistan began accepting applications for Hajj 2025 on Monday, as announced by ARY News. A total of 15 designated banks are now processing applications.
Applicants must deposit 200,000 rupees along with their application. A second installment will be collected after the balloting process. The government Hajj scheme has a quota of 89,605 seats, with an additional 5,000 seats reserved for overseas Pakistanis under a sponsorship program. Overseas applicants will need to pay in US dollars.
The government Hajj package includes airfare, meals, accommodation, training, and vaccination. However, individuals with serious medical conditions or children under 12 will be ineligible to travel for Hajj.
The Ministry of Religious Affairs and Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) have also finalized an agreement to provide flight services for 35,000 pilgrims under the government scheme. Agreements with Saudi Airlines and other domestic airlines are expected to be finalized shortly.
