A 25-year-old woman in India, Archana, fell victim to an online scam after clicking on a link for a supposed “Amazon Freshers Job in India” on Instagram. Seeking part-time work, she was drawn in by the offer of high earnings. After clicking the link, she was contacted via WhatsApp and encouraged to invest money to unlock profits. Over the span of a week, Archana transferred a total of 194,000 INR to the scammers. However, no returns materialized, and she soon realized she had been deceived. She has since reported the incident to the Cyber Crime Police Station.
