Thomas Tuchel’s England side will open their FIFA World Cup 2026 journey in either Dallas or Toronto on Wednesday, 17 June, before moving on to face Ghana and Panama in Group L.
For Scotland, the FIFA World Cup 2026 marks their first appearance at a men’s World Cup in 28 years. They begin their group-stage run against Haiti on Saturday, 13 June, in either Boston or New York, followed by key matches against Morocco and Brazil in Group C.
Wales or Northern Ireland could still secure a place at the FIFA World Cup 2026, with the winner of their UEFA play-off path joining Canada, Qatar and Switzerland in Group B.
The Republic of Ireland also have a chance to reach the FIFA World Cup 2026, where they would potentially meet Mexico, South Africa and South Korea in the group stage if they qualify.
The FIFA World Cup 2026, the first edition to feature 48 teams, will be hosted across Canada, Mexico and the United States from 11 June to 19 July 2026.

After opening their FIFA World Cup 2026 campaign against Croatia six days into the tournament, England will face Ghana on Tuesday, 23 June, in either Toronto or Boston. Their final Group L match against Panama is scheduled for Saturday, 27 June, with the game set to be played in Philadelphia or New York.
Scotland’s return to the FIFA World Cup 2026, following their first men’s World Cup appearance since 1998, begins with their match against Haiti. They will then take on Morocco on Friday, 19 June, in either Boston or Philadelphia. Scotland’s highly anticipated clash with Brazil is set for Wednesday, 24 June, hosted in Atlanta or Miami.
